The process of filing back or unfiled tax returns: ( Lost of few tax records )

1. We verbally review a year by year history of your income and expenses.
2. We review any records you may have.
3  Pull all IRS information that they have received from 3 party sources that have been placed on the IRS computer system over the past 7 years.
4. We can prepare a “reconstructed” tax return that the IRS will accept.
5. We review all returns for accuracy with the client and send them into the IRS.
6. We work out a settlement agreement with the IRS.

How we work your case to immediately resolve your IRS matter:

1. We immediately send a power of attorney to the IRS letting them know we are now your representative. You will never have to speak to the IRS.

2. We will make sure your tax returns are filed and current. If they are not filed, we will prepare and file your tax returns.

3. We will secure a required 433-F (IRS financial statement), verify the income and expenses and work out a settlement agreement. IRS will require a closing method for each case.

4. Settlement agreements can be in different forms:

a. Hardship Settlements cases usually go into a 3 year suspended status because of an inability to pay. This is also called currently noncollectable. Your case will go into a hardship status  because
you do not have the income coming in to met your current expenses. IRS will use the National Standards Program to assess hardship.

Payment Agreements are agreed upon monthly installment payments to the IRS.

c. Offer in Compromise. Three Types of OICs:
The IRS may accept an offer in compromise based on three grounds:

1. Doubt as to Collectibility – Doubt exists that the taxpayer could ever pay the full amount of tax liability owed within the remainder of the statutory period for collection.

2. Doubt as to Liability – A legitimate doubt exists that the assessed tax liability is correct.

3. Effective Tax Administration – There is no doubt that the tax is correct and there is potential to collect the full amount of the tax owed, but an exceptional circumstance exists.

We have never seen so many Christian businesses in trouble with the Internal Revenue Service. Record numbers of businesses are behind on their payroll or business taxes. T

Here are several thing you can do to work out of this problem.

1. Take a good look a the business financials and make sure your business has a good chance of survival. Have a third party look at the business and make sure you have a realistic chance of a strong come back. You and friend and the Holy Spirit should discern what is best for you and the business.<><

2 Get good solid tax advise from a Christian based tax resolution company. Many companies advertise on Christian web sites but are secular businesses trying to add to there bottom line. Be very careful in choosing a professional tax firm.

3. Get current with all your filings and payments. Before IRS will work with you on back tax issues IRS will want to see that you have fixed the problem and want to help yourself. There is a two fold process they use, Are you current in taxes for the last quarter and are all your tax returns filed?  Before you call the IRS make absolutely sure you have met both of this objectives.

4. Prepare a current financial statement and get it reviewed from an experienced tax professional before you give it to the IRS. IRS will do a careful review to make sure they can collect as much money as they can from you on a monthly basis. Make sure you include all your expenses because IRS will take advantage of you and force a monthly payment beyond your means.

Due to the turn in the economy many Christians have found themselves caught up in situations they never thought they would ever be in.

Business owners and individuals alike. Most Christians have nowhere to turn to find good professional tax relief or IRS tax help.

There are a few solid companies that can help solve your IRS problem and more importantly give you good solid Biblical advice on not only how to remedy your problem but stay away from those them in the future.

A lot of companies advertise on Christian sites but they really are everything but Christian tax firms.

The best bit of advice to give any person or company when behind on State or Federal Taxes is to stay current.

The IRS will usually work with any entity if they are making a serious effort to fix the past problem and are current on estimates or deposits. Before contact is made with the IRS, we recommend a current tax payment be made to show good faith.

Another factor that is a must is to have all tax returns current. The IRS will not work with anyone who is not current in their filing. Get all tax returns up to date and send to the IRS as soon as possible.

This way, when they review your case, they know that this is a taxpayer/business who is current and in full filing compliance.

Taking these steps will help get federal tax levies released and help with all IRS settlements.

As far as hiring a good Christian based tax firm, check out the bio’s on the person and ask good solid questions about their faith and business practices. Also check the Better Business Bureau rating. Anyone not having an  “A” rating is not walking the walk.

Tax Advantages for Disabled Taxpayers- Income Tax Preparation-Former Agents

Fresh Start Tax LLC   Audit Proof your tax return with former IRS Agents.

Tax Benefits for Disabled Taxpayers from the IRS

Taxpayers with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities may qualify for a number of IRS tax credits and benefits. Listed below are seven tax credits and other benefits which are available if you or someone else listed on your federal tax return is disabled.

Standard Deduction Taxpayers who are legally blind may be entitled to a higher standard deduction on their tax return.
Gross Income Certain disability-related payments, Veterans Administration disability benefits, and Supplemental Security Income are excluded from gross income.
Impairment-Related Work Expenses Employees who have a physical or mental disability limiting their employment may be able to claim business expenses in connection with their workplace. The expenses must be necessary for the taxpayer to work.

Credit for the Elderly or Disabled This credit is generally available to certain taxpayers who are 65 and older as well as to certain disabled taxpayers who are younger than 65 and are retired on permanent and total disability.
Medical Expenses If you itemize your deductions using Form 1040, Schedule A, you may be able to deduct medical expenses.See IRS Publication 502, Medical and Dental Expenses.

Earned Income Tax Credit EITC is available to disabled taxpayers as well as to the parents of a child with a disability. If you retired on disability, taxable benefits you receive under your employer’s disability retirement plan are considered earned income until you reach minimum retirement age.

The EITC is a tax credit that not only reduces a taxpayer’s tax liability but may also result in a refund. Many working individuals with a disability who have no qualifying children, but are older than 25 and younger than 65 do — in fact — qualify for EITC. Additionally, if the taxpayer’s child is disabled, the age limitation for the EITC is waived. The EITC has no effect on certain public benefits. Any refund you receive because of the EITC will not be considered income when determining whether you are eligible for benefit programs such as Supplemental Security Income and Medicaid.

Child or Dependent Care Credit Taxpayers who pay someone to care for their dependent or spouse so they can work or look for work may be entitled to claim this credit. There is no age limit if the taxpayer’s spouse or dependent is unable to care for themselves. This is a press release from the IRS.
