Fresh Start Tax

We are former IRS agents and managers with over 200 years of professional tax experience including 65 years of working directly for the Internal Revenue Service and the local, district, and regional tax offices of the Internal Revenue Service.

We are affordable tax experts who can resolve any IRS problem, since 1982.

We Know the System!

Everyone claims to have a reputable firm for IRS tax help and tax problems however great firms are truly hard to find.

What has happened to the tax resolution industry.

With the genesis of TV marketing and J.K. Harris the tax resolution business went off the charts.

Everyone was promising pennies on a dollar. While true those cases are far and few.

Firms like Roni Deutsche and Tax masters with Patrick Cox crippled the industry because of the lack of professionalism attached to their businesses.

The attorney General finally and rightfully closed up those companies after ripping of thousands.

Taxpayers have no idea who to turn too or what tax firm use because it is hard to look through the deception of adds and advertising.

Being a former IRS agent and being in the vertical for so many years you should know there are several hundred great tax firms you can use.

As a general rule of thumb I would stay away from the large Tax Mills. Companies that advertise and do large volumes are what I call Caution companies. They are usually owned by non-professionals. Most of the time they are owned by salespersons moving from vertical to vertical. While some are solid companies I would put a caution here against the wind because so many of these companies come and go.

My suggestion for any taxpayer wanting to find a solid, honest and reputable IRS tax advocate is to use a professional tax firm owned and operated by a Tax Attorney, CPA or Enrolled Agents. Why?  There license and lively hoods are on the line.

Top things to look for in a Tax Advocate.

  1. How long have they been in business,
  2. What type of tax professionals are on staff,
  3. Can you speak directly to the tax professional who will handle your case on your initial call,
  4.  What is the Better Business  Bureau rating of the tax advocate and tax firm,
  5. How many years of experience does the tax firm have,
  6. How many person are on staff in case your case worker is out of town,
  7. What are fees? Do they flat fee.

IRS also has a Taxpayer Advocate Service

The Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) is your voice at the IRS. There job is to ensure that every taxpayer is treated fairly, and that you know and understand your rights.

At Fresh Start Tax LLC we can help you if:

1. Your problem is causing financial difficulties for you, your family, or your business
2. You face (or your business is facing) an immediate threat of adverse action
3. You have tried repeatedly to contact the IRS but no one has responded, or the IRS has not responded to you by the date promised.
Check out as many tax firms as you can. When you are finished and heard everyone stories and fees, call us today.
